This site exists to publish poetry that addresses current events in our country and world.  W. H. Auden said, "poetry makes nothing happen."  I disagree.  If its shines the light on the truth in a focused beam, poetry will matter.  Those who write poetry that wants to make something happen are welcome to submit their work to poetryssharpedge@gmail.com.
